Where to begin? Reading the stories of others makes me see that things aren't as bad as they could be...but things are bad. I am an Army veteran of Iraq, I received a purple heart for wounds sustained in a roadside bomb in 2006. My injuries are in no way debilitating. I, in fact, have a full-time job. I finished graduate school in December and now I teach fourth grade. The problem is that I have a family of 5 (with one coming soon) to support and right now I am only pulling in about 2k/month. I don't really know what to do. I cannot pay my utility bills and they are threatening to cut off my electricity on Monday. Part of me wants to get a second, part-time job (but realistically that will not be easy as I work long hours already). I can't just quit my job and hope for a better one, but I also can't seem to find a better one. I don't get it, I have two degrees and I hardly make anything. I don't want to give up teaching but I may have to in order to survive. I am not asking for handouts, any assistance is appreciated, links to aid organizations, etc. Thanks!
